murigeMerry Christmas, guys! I know I’m late but I was too busy with gaming to actually get my ass up and write this when it was more appropriate :D Yes you read that correctly, I spent most of Christmas in front of a console beating up stuff. I approve heavily – I don’t quite care if baby Jesus does, but then again, I never did. When it wasn’t at home, I was at work. Consequently, I didn’t spend a single day with my family. It just wasn’t possible and that’s okay, I mean, can’t be changed. As a result however, it might as well have been Easter for all I care. No Christmas-y feelings whatsoever here : / Oh well. I did bake cookies, at least.

…for the 360. You should have seen my face. We were talking on the phone when I opened it and I tried my hardest to sound happy and grateful when… really?! THAT game? AND I DON’T EVEN OWN A GODDDAMN 360 AND I REALLY WANT TO KEEP IT THAT WAY WTF wwww But then I opened it:

Last but not least, from myself for myself. Only because I HAD to. On Christmas Eve, I had a bit of a mental breakdown because I had the sudden desire to play Final Fantasy VIII. I love that game to pieces. It was the first FF I ever played (not counting IV) and it’s what made me fall in love with the series. I have a sort of love/hate relationship with it I think. On one side I absolutely adore Squall. He’s probably my favorite FF protagonist period. On the other side, he’s dumb enough to actually go out with Rinoa whom I hate shitloads. Clearly he’s destined to be with Seifer but … whatever.
Anyways, when I popped in the disc on Christmas Eve, nothing happened and I had to realize that it was broken. Enter mental breakdown of epic proportions LOL. It was kinda surreal and really really First World Problems-y but I didn’t give a damn. IT WAS LIKE PART OF MY SOUL DIED OKAY. I grew up with that game and it felt horrible to ~lose~ it. I promptly went online and ordered a used copy from Amazon, but even that only made it a little better. Any disc would be a ~new~ disc, not “mine”?! I was assured by other gaming friends of mine that this is quite a normal thought process for them, too, when I was accused of having lost my freaking mind by non-gamers www I mean, why would you be THIS upset over…. Yeah. Anyways!
When I opened up the parcel today, I almost cried again. The cover is cracked! ‘lo and behold, I almost spilled those tears out of happiness. My cover sported a very similar crack in exactly the same place. It looks almost identical so if I try really hard, I might be able to forget that this isn’t the original version I owned. Maybe. >_>

P.S.: Since I'm an idiot, I forgot the present I couldn't technically take a photo of OTZ That doesn't make it any less awesome though. Because it IS awesome. Very. *still grinning like an idiot*
